Mission

  • Provide support during the VNF on-boarding activities when a VNF encounters difficulty in performing their life cycle management functions:
  • Acknowledge receipt of on-boarding support service request within 2 business days
  • Create networks for the VNF applications
  • Investigate the VNF issue with the VNF team
  • Collect logs, call traces, traceroutes, etc. necessary to isolate the issue
  • Troubleshoot and analyze the data to determine the root cause of the issue
  • Engage corresponding stakeholders as applicable to resolve the issue:
  • Engage the VNF team to fix the issue if it is a VNF Heat Orchestration Template problem
  • Fix the solution configuration if the issue is related to the solution configuration
  • Conduct RCA and engage NFVI team to resolve resource limitation on NFVI if it is resource limitation issue
  • Conduct RCA and engage NFVI team to resolve NFVI environment issue if it is NFVI environment problem
  • Engage the NFVI team and/or customer network team if it is a Networking issue
  • Deliver summary report describing networks for VNF applications created, issue(s) encountered, stakeholders engaged, actions taken, and resolution status

 

Profile

  • Degree in Computer Engineering or similar;
  • Experience with the activities described in the mission;
  • Experience in Openstack and Vmware;
  • Experience in VNF;
  • Spoken English is mandatory;
  • Availability to travel (occasional, Europe);
  • Autonomous, open-minded and creative problem-solver;
  • Sense of responsibility, pro-activity and dynamism.
