Virtual Academies (Awesome Source) is a rapidly growing, international Development Studio in partnership with Pearson International, primarily focused on the development of our immersive digital learning platform, Viper. We are looking for a UI/UX Designer to support our Senior UI/UX Engineer. We are passionate about delivering the highest quality solutions to higher education, government, business, and consumer markets. We are dedicated to building a capable, motivated, inclusive, and dynamic team. 

This is a remote, English-speaking position, and while this is an international role, we are looking for candidates who currently reside in Portugal. Benefits include medical insurance and an internet allowance. We can also provide hardware as required.

Candidates must have at least 2 years of commercial experience in:

• Web/Mobile Application User Interface (UI) design 
• User Experience (UX) design
• Wireframing and UI prototyping

Candidates must have a working knowledge of the following software:

• Adobe Photoshop
• Adobe XD
• Adobe Illustrator

Experience with any of the following will be an advantage:

• CSS3
• SCSS
• HTML5
• Javascript
• React

Candidates should also have:

• Intermediate proficiency in the English language
• Experience working with multidisciplinary teams
• An understanding of Agile methodology 
• The capacity to work independently or collaboratively
• A positive attitude to challenging tasks
