We are Brixel. Our vision is to create a disruptive platform to empower people to trade real estate globally. Brixel is developed in Lisbon and Zurich (Switzerland).

Do you want to become a UI Developer on our startup? Great! We are looking for a new member to be part of our Brixel team.

Essential duties and responsibilities

You will be an important part of our development team in Lisbon. You are responsible for high UI coding standards, great team work and play a relevant role in building high quality digital products, and so we expect from you:

• Translate design comprehensives into web and mobile standards-compliant HTML/CSS markup.
• Make projects come alive through interactive elements like SVG and CSS animations
• Ability to understand and work with legacy code, and not just create from scratch.
• Present and explain concepts, answer questions and communicate with the team.
• Mentor and inspire other team members.

At a minimum, you must have experience with

• Minimum of 1 year of proven experience (excluding university experience)
• A strong knowledge of HTML5, CSS3
• Have knowledge of Less or Sass
• Build responsive web design and fluid layouts
• Develop cross platform and browser compatibility for dynamic web applications
• A strong sense of UI/UX design and layout
• GitLab, GitHub or similar version control
• Proven debugging and troubleshooting skills
• Are familiar with Scrum / Agile methodologies

You would stand out if you have experience with

• React or other client side MVC’s
• Gulp or Grunt, and NPM

Additional Requirements

Very good english skills is a must and knowledge in german is a plus. Any other languages you speak? Great let us know, we want to learn it too.

Other Infos

Brixel is based in Zurich and Lisbon. As our new frontend developer you will be based in Lisbon. But be ready to travel to Zurich and other european destinations since we are an international company. We will pay for your travel and accommodation cost. We also offer flexible vacation and working hours.
