We are Capitalise.com, the super platform for businesses and their advisers to access financial services. We are a product-oriented FinTech start-up based in the UK and have closed our Series A in 2019. We have won government grants and award nominations for innovation.

Capitalise.com is building out our technology and product teams working with superstar engineers and product managers. Do you love tracking logs, debugging issues and making customers really happy? Joining as our Technical Support Engineer you will be responsible for second-line support for our staff internally and our partners. Our first-line support is via our partner managers. As a financial services company our uptime, data integrity and performance are key to our success in delivering a world class product. You will be joining a team of engineers and technologists who are working to build a high quality modern SaaS product. We’re looking to grow our engineering team in Portugal to continue our scale with 3,000 advisers using our platform.

Your role will be to

  • Triage support issues raised by our customer success team
  • Investigate data issues and write-up support issues for our QA team
  • Setting up and maintaining a support process in the business
  • Configuring and setting up a help desk and integrating with our CRM
  • Debugging production issues and support our engineering team with issues
  • Managing our identity provider solution and the access control
  • Responsible for integrations between our platform and internal system
  • Working with our QA engineers to improve coverage of support issues
  • Writing up bugs reports and requirements for our product team
  • Working with our education team to improve our articles

You should apply if you have

Testing and quality assurance:

  • Experience in databases including MySQL, MongoDB and Postgres
  • Experience with *nix and command lines
  • Experience using log analysis tools e.g. ELK or LogDNA
  • Knowledge of QA, testing and issue tracking systems
  • Knowledge of support and help desk solutions
  • Excellent written communication in English
  • A natural approach to troubleshooting and investigation

Digital project delivery:

  • Great communication in English to work with the product team
  • A strong technical background working with open source technologies
