Systems Administrator @ Mindera

Description

As a System Administrator, you’ll support Mindera’s infrastructure and services, including servers, network, laptops and other systems. You will be responsible for installing, monitoring, maintaining and upgrading the systems infrastructure, keeping it running smoothly, secure and highly available, all while making sure you have fun learning and building things.

How does that sound?

(National and international expected travelling time varies according to project/client and organisational needs. We estimate it to be between 0%-15%)

You are good at

  • Configuring and troubleshooting GNU/Linux, MacOS and Windows
  • Networking, routing, IP addressing and VLAN planning, configuring VPN connections
  • Managing IDS/ IPS and firewalls, Iptables, pf (pfSense), Cisco ASA, etc
  • Directory services (MS AD, FreeIPA, other LDAP), SSO and RADIUS
  • Managing and optimising relational databases such as MS SQL, PostgreSQL or MariaDB
  • Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery and Backup strategies
  • Metrics, graphs and everything around monitoring and alerting (Zabbix, Syslog, ELK/Elastic Stack)
  • Writing code to automate processes and tasks
  • Containers and orchestration frameworks such as Kubernetes would be a nice to have

You rock at

  • Configuration infrastructure-as-code tools such as Ansible and Terraform
  • Change management and Infrastructure documentation
  • Virtualization and Storage (ZFS)
  • One or more scripting / command language such as Bash or Python
  • Feeling humble and motivated by being able to learn with and teach others
  • Being self-driven and working with little supervision towards a common team or company purpose
