Within the frame of a transversal Digital Transformation program, the company is currently implementing a first key foundation of its new ECM (Enterprise Content Management) strategy and modernizing its current DMS (Document Management System) environment. In that context, the company is looking for a Solution Architect who will be responsible for the design of the target DMS solution, based on the needs of the business and in line with architectural guidelines, the IT Roadmap and the strategic vision.
Parallel to these visions and initiatives, it is also worth mentioning that the company is currently developing a vision and roadmap in regards of the use of BIM (Building Information Modelling) as a supporting concept for the Design & Engineering processes in the organization.
Job Description :
Role of the (ECM) Solution Architect
-Designs the target ECM (DMS) Solution following organizational vision, policy and principles;
-Ensures that the new ECM-system meets its Functional and Non-Functional Requirements (is performant, scalable, -secure, flexible, etc ) within the boundaries set by the ECM Architecture;
-Support the Project team to ensures that the ECM- program/project meets business/IT aims and supports business functions;
-Support the Project Manager Identifying and reducing technical risks and complexity in a program/project;
-Supports project managers with scoping, estimation, resourcing and integration;
-Supports the Enterprise Architect and help to realize the ECM/EA roadmaps;
-Ensures that the initial phase of any software implementation and/or development project is completed properly.
Main tasks:
Initiation: Studies strategic business, IT and EA context. Develops / reviews solution vision.
Architecting/Solutioning:
-In the strategic context, develops a solution outline for a program or project
-Designs small or medium scale solutions (or parts of larger solutions)
-Takes a business scenario-driven approach to define information, application, data and infrastructure components;
-Addresses non-functional requirements and mitigates technical risks;
-Balances stakeholder needs with the higher-level goals, principles and standards;
-Requirements & design.
-Designs innovative, medium scale solutions incorporating components from contributing specialists
-Realization/Implementation/Testing
-Defines the approach to solution development and acceptance testing, ensuring an acceptable cost structure
Planning:
-Governance: Provides technical leadership for a program or project
-Can assist in supplier selection
-Prepares a migration path to inform planning
-Supports program and project planning
-Joins up, coaches and supports designers and subject matter experts
-Provides quality assurance and architecture governance
Skills and Experience required:
-Knowledge level Master or equivalent through experience;
-(Work) ECM - experience of 5-10 years;
-Extensive knowledge of multiple, complex business processes covering the entire organization;
-Knowledge of solution architecture, current and specific software (including UML, available Technologies, networks, databases, enterprise modeling ...);
-Basic knowledge of Infrastructure;
-Experienced in a wide range of technology areas, preferably in the Information and ECM Management area;
-Affinity with new technologies;
-Experienced in most areas of the solution lifecycle;
