In order to be successful in this journey, we are actively seeking a Research Engineer to strengthen our team.

WHO?

VORTEX-CoLab is looking for a Software Research Engineers with a MSc in Computer Science or similar (Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, other) and who meet the following requirements:

• With a keen interest in technology and science you will have between 2 to 5 years of experience in software design and development;
• Fluency in objected-oriented languages and software architectures;
• Good programming skills in C++ and/or Python
• Javascript / node.js / React would be a plus
• Problem solving and logical reasoning skills
• Taste for data visualization / Human-Machine Interaction (HMI)
• Good oral and written communication skills
• A natural inclination to work on a collaborative environment, and the willingness to work on a broad variety of project

Bonus points for:

• Awareness of programming for the use of sensors and actuators (Robotics perception / control)
• A real thirst for knowledge and to stay ahead of the latest trends makes you an active curious and inventive thinker. You´re not afraid to try something new

          WHAT?

As a Research Engineer at Vortex-CoLab you will work collaboratively with a cross-functional team of other engineers, researchers and product managers supporting initiatives that will define the next generation of embedded and real-time systems that are highly connected, with massive processing power and performing complex applications. As a member of the team you will drive future concepts and contribute to our innovation roadmap and prototype solutions.

How you can expect to fill your days:

• Participation in amazing and out-of-the-box Research and Development projects where you will be able to turn ideas into reality;
• Pragmatic application of classic Perception algorithms and  models to solve complex perception use cases;
• Integration of driving simulation with network simulation, for building co-simulation environment for simulated V2X vehicles
• Use your strong technical aptitude to develop and implement software of embedded devices in C or C++;
• Boost up the creative environment provided to solve analytical problems and debug software.
• Feed your passion for computer systems and all things tech through the participation in awesome research and innovation projects;
• Boost up the creative environment provided and demonstrate quickness in learning and ability to experiment cross-cutting technologies
