Job description/specification

We are looking for a Software Q&A Engineer/Technician to be part of our R&D Development team.

This position is based in the city of Maia in Portugal.  

Responsibilities

• Work closely with development teams to ensure that software adheres to both design and functional specifications, while also actively investigating and reproducing reported defects to drive continual improvement;
• Test and debug software to identify and report bugs and issues;
• Assist senior QA team members in designing and implementing test plans and strategies to ensure the highest quality software in our products;
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in testing methodologies and tools;
• Create and maintain test documentation, including test plans and test cases;
• Perform all tasks within quality standards, the environment and health and safety , within the rules defined in specific procedures applicable to this function.

Must Have

• Bachelor Degree or Higher
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field is a plus
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills is a must
• Entry-level experience in software quality assurance
• Entry-level knowledge of software testing methodologies and tools
• Willingness to learn and contribute in automated testing
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
