SOFTWARE & FIRMWARE ENGINEER  (m/f)

DISPLAX is a world manufacturer leader in Ultra Large Touchscreens, TV size, looking to expand it´s team, integrated on the R&D team, to work in its HQ in Braga-Portugal.

Be part of an International, developing and multi-disciplinary team, focused on the development of disruptive touch technology.

We do enable better education on Interactive WhiteBoards at schools, more interactive collaboration in Meetings and exciting self-service touch kiosks in Public areas.

CHALLENGE

You will be responsible for develop software and firmware applications for the company’s product line and software for embedded devices or for local services, cloud and back-end servers. You should be able to use tools like Git, GCC toolchain, Qt Creator or other IDE.
- We expect you are able to investigate, analyze and make recommendations to management regarding technology and algorithm improvements, upgrades and modifications. Also, collaborate in requirements definition, prototyping, design, coding, testing and deployment.
- You must be able to  develop software/firmware algorithms and tools for the company's range of products, studying information needs, systems flow, data usage, work processes and investigating problem areas.
- We value experience in development of embedded systems, digital signal processing and desire to learn.

REQUIREMENTS

- Degree in Computer Science, Informatics, or similar;

- Experience in hands-on development and troubleshooting on embedded targets

- Knowledge in C/C++, Qt (preferred)  

- Know-how in Linux (Ubuntu) and at ease with any operating system.

- Self motivated style is really a plus 

- Confident, efficient and positive person 

- English friendly
