At Capitalise we're looking for a Software Engineering Graduate to join our team for a 9 month programme, based in Porto, Portugal.

Are you passionate about technology, enjoy problem solving and contributing to apps that users rely on everyday for their work? We are Capitalise.com, a financial marketplace for businesses and their advisers to compare and apply for financial products.

We are a product-oriented FinTech start-up based in the UK and have closed our Series A in 2019. We have won government grants and award nominations for innovation. Capitalise.com is building out our technology and product teams working with superstar engineers and product managers.

We’re looking for passionate IT graduates to join our engineering team in Portugal to continue our scale with 3,000 advisers using our platform. We are pro open source as a company and so expect an architect to have good knowledge of leading open source frameworks.

In our 9 month learning programme, you'll be part of an agile development team on the cutting edge of development, involved in the full software cycle working and in collaboration with other teams across the company to assist in delivering the best possible product.

Our technological ecosystem presents a variety of opportunities to learn and develop your skills of interest. These include multiple programming languages, frameworks and different areas of engineering from UI, backend to infrastructure and quality assurance.

Throughout the programme you will have continuous reviews using our progression framework to identify your preferred career path in product and software engineering.

Responsibilities

• Working on a production level product in a team
• Writing, reviewing and testing code on web applications
• Building with APIs, HTTP and other web protocols
• Programming with a mixture of frameworks from Spring Boot to Node.js
• Working with a mixture of languages from Kotlin to TypeScript to Python
• Implementing various libraries such as React, Loopback or NestJS
