How you can help us:

• Architect, build and maintain the Seedrs web platform
• Be an active participant in all phases of our Agile development cycle
• Engineer systems that scale with the business
• Bring a mindset towards quality, and ensure extensive test coverage for our continuous integration process
• Be mindful of performance and user metrics to pinpoint issues and points of improvement
• Work collaboratively with the Design team to deliver the best user experience
• Have an informed and constructive opinion
• Think critically and focus on finding the right solutions
• Get involved in the tech community and keep up-to-date on best-of-breed solutions

Our tech stack:

• We code mostly in Ruby alongside other backend languages

As a Software Engineer you will:

• Be a smart, hardworking, energetic and practical person who is excited about what Seedrs is doing
• Be fluent in English
• Have a good understanding of decoupled web architectures
• Be keen to explore a variety of languages and technologies: Ruby, Python, JS, Go, React, AWS, HTML/CSS
• Be an ambitious and trustworthy person. We expect you to want to progress very quickly either technically or by moving into more leading roles
• Be an entrepreneur at heart - we are counting on you to propose and discuss new ideas, both yours and from other people.

Nice to have:

• Exposure to modern stacks and languages. E.g. MEAN, Go, Python
• Knowledge of about serverless architectures
• Exposure to Amazon Web Services
