Kantar Worldpanel division has a vacancy for a Front-End Software Engineer in Lisbon. A challenging position working in an international role.  Reporting to the Global Analytics Director, you will be tasked with the development of all advanced analytical product/capabilities, analysing key market information and transforming it into insightful recommendations for our clients. You will be completely accountable, working with a wider global team, for: gathering requirements; designing and implementing the product/capabilities; providing estimates and; deploying and monitoring the application in production.  

KEY OUTCOMES   
•    Implement platform and brand identity (BREX – Brand User Experience);
•    Design site architecture and app interaction;
•    Drive best practice visualisation of data, using compelling and modern techniques; 
•    Project and build integrated platform Apps with the Advanced Analytics division;
•    Harness the strengths of platform and opensource charting libraries;
•    Plan new and customise existing visualisers (chart types) for syndicated and bespoke client work;
•    Enforce departmental coding standards and best practices for your product/capability;
•    Contribute in the application framework design and requirements gathering.

CAPABILITIES
•    BSc / MSc university degree in Computer Science or other related fields;
•    3+ years of experience building web-based software systems, utilizing N-tier architectures, dynamic content, highly-scalable approaches, and complex security models/implementations of rapid web development, using Angular, HTML5/CSS3, JavaScript, AJAX, and jQuery;
•    Proficiency developing and troubleshooting complex software systems that run in mixed-environments including Linux, Unix and/or Windows;
•    Experienced front-end web application developer with Angular (non JS), HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript with strong JQuery; 
•    Familiarity with consuming and potentially specifying RESTful APIs using Swagger (or similar framework);
•    Strong aesthetic, skilled user experience and interaction design – not just a web site coder, but someone who has built applications;
•    Evidence of work using Open Charting Packages such as amCharts or D3.js;
•    Excellent English written and oral communication skills a must (other languages a plus).
