We are looking for a Service Operations Analyst for a project based in Porto.

Main tasks:

1. Prioritization and progression of resolution for faults or queries on the full range of systems.
2. Troubleshooting issues relating to applications, infrastructure, database, network or security.
3. Active participation in serious incident, problem and change management.
4. Undertaking of project work to help implement best support practice and continued success of the client businesses.

 

Essential:
1. Enthusiasm combined with a collaborative attitude.
2. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
3. English is a must, as it will be used on a daily basis to communicate with other teams and customers.
3. Excellent interpersonal skills.
4. An affinity with:

  • O/S – Windows, Linux and/or Solaris;
  • Database – MS SQL/Oracle;
  • Monitoring Systems - Nagios;
  • Network - Juniper/Cisco;
  • Security – TCP/IP, TCPdump, Nessus, Snort.

5. Degree, CET or equivalent in a computer related subject.

 

Desirable:
1. knowledge of financial markets.
2. knowledge of Equities and Derivatives financial instruments (e.g. Futures and Options/Warrants).
3. knowledge of ITIL framework and processes.
4. Scripting language (Shell/Perl/PHP/Python).
