About Lapa Studio

Lapa Studio is a technological startup from the Polygon Group with a fun, creative and innovative mindset, which is focused on the development of IoT (Internet of Things) devices and systems.

Created in 2013, it was behind the biggest product crowdfunding campaign in Portugal with the release of Lapa – a Bluetooth tracker for personal belongings, pets, and children –, and is already present in more than 80 countries.

Using Lapa technology, we are currently developing a new product that promises to revolutionize the traditional authentication, payments, and marketing methods in the soccer world, and that’s why we need you.

About the Role

We are hiring a Senior Web Developer that loves to develop elegant and intuitive web solutions, and is able to lead a multidisciplinary agile team and deal with requirements from different partners and clients.

The candidate should be self-driven, flexible and willing to learn and keep up with the latest web trends, architectures, ideas and technologies.

Skills

The Senior Web Developer should be skillful and have experience in full stack web development (backend, frontend, and UI/UX), with focus on backend web development.

The candidate should meet the following criteria:

• Bachelor, Masters, or PhD in Informatics Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrotechnical Engineering, Computer Science, or similar.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in backend web development: PHP and PHP Frameworks (Laravel), Node.js, React, Webservices RESTful API
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in database management and development: SQL, MongoDB
• Experience in web frontend technologies: CSS, HTML, Bootstrap, Javascript and Javascript Frameworks (Vue.js)
• Experience in cloud platforms: AWS, Azure
• Experience in Agile and versioning methodologies: JIRA, Scrum, GIT
• Fluent in English (spoken and written)
• Leadership and team-work spirit
• Self-driven and willing to learn new technologies
