OUR CLIENT
Become part of an international corporation and look forward to new challenges! At our client's office in Portugal, they are hiring a qualified senior software engineer to join the Development department. They have been developing a product suite 1986 and their hotel management software runs in more than 3.500 hotels worldwide. Their offices with a total of 200 employees are located near Berlin, in Valencia, Lisbon, Cardiff, São Paulo and Australia's Gold Coast.

YOUR TASKS
* Produce and implement software designs according to the specifications provided
* Transform software designs and specifications into high funtioning code
* Provide hands on technical leadership to the team, including your own code contributions, design reviews and prioritization
* Collaborate with technical writers to create documentation for internal quality management and user support
* Bring a deep understanding of software development in a team and a proven track record of shipping software on time
* Advise senior and executive management

YOUR PROFILE
* BSc/BA in computer science, software engineering or relevant discipline
* Proven experience of 5+ years as a programmer or relevant role
* Proven experience of 2+ years management experience leading software development teams of 5people or more
* Deep hans-on technical expertise; prior experience as software developer or software development manager
* Experience in system design and coding knowledge (C++, Java or other object oriented programming languages)
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiences
* Excellent English, both verbal and written
