What we are looking for…

We are currently looking for a highly motivated individual to join our team as a Senior Software Engineer. This is a full-time position.

Your day to day might look like this

• Solve challenging technical problems with scalable, maintainable, fast and secure solutions;
• Monitor and optimize the performance of production apps;
• Work in a modern agile software engineering environment, with source code control, release cycles, extensive testing, and continuous deployment;
• Guide, coach and upskill junior team members.

Your must haves

• MSc/PhD in Computer Science or related fields;
• 5+ years of relevant work experience;
• Experience with distributed systems and concurrent programming;
• Experience with cloud architectures, orchestration and deployment;
• Experience with web services and RESTful architectures;
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills;
• Good English skills;
• Valid work permit or citizenship to work in Portugal.

Set yourself apart

• Experience architecting and developing robust backend APIs to support mobile applications;
• Experience with Java, Kotlin, Swift or Python;
• Experience working with one or more from the following: Java, Kotlin, Swift, Python, Play! Framework, MongoDB, RESTful APIs, Mobile Application Development (iOS or Android), Bluetooth Low Energy;
• Experience with Continuous Delivery practices;
• Experience with cloud-based PaaS environments such as Heroku.
