Engineering is responsible for all Feedzai product development. Together with Product Management and Data Science, we are building the next generation of tools to catch fraud in real time with a machine learning first approach. While building the best value to our customers, you will be exposed to a wide range of technical challenges such as building distributed systems that need to operate 24/7 and ultra-low latencies, solve UI/UX problems to help fraud analysts to fight fraud more efficiently, design very large databases from relational, NoSQL and graph, validate and design new data science techniques and algorithms.

Responsibilities

• Work iteratively within our agile teams to develop our products and underlying technical frameworks
• Write reusable and testable code using the best tools for the job and participate in code reviews
• Design & influence the future product architecture, from the data layer to service orchestration

Qualifications

• Strong coding skills and Computer Science fundamentals
• Experience building Java or Scala-based backend software or similar
• Someone who can bring his/her ideas into the team and is able to work out solutions to tough problems autonomously
• BSc/MSc degree in Computer Science, or a similar technical degree, is required

Valued

• Real-world experience in programming high-performance, concurrent server-side code
• Experience with modern distributed systems platforms such as Spark, Akka, RabbitMQ or Cassandra
• Real-world Experience working in Agile teams
• Experience with continuous delivery and automated deployment of distributed cloud services
• Contributions to OSS projects
