b_create is a collaborative, easy-to-use platform designed to help companies integrate and manage their product development processes, from idea to market. We already have a customer base that includes some of the biggest wine & beverage companies in Portugal.

In order to follow our strategy of growing to a Saas model and to other international markets, we are expanding our engineering team.

This Senior Software Architect role offers the opportunity to provide technical leadership to the development team in designing, building, and delivering high-quality solutions.

Our team of engineers develop the core technological components of our product. We’re looking for a team member who has a strong understanding of current engineering technologies, patterns, and practices. You will work as part of our product development team and operate within an agile software development framework alongside our architects, software developers and other team members.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop and deliver applications based on the Microsoft Stack
• Work with team to complete backlog commitments
• Mentor and provide technical leadership to other developers
• Help manage project milestones, progress and issues.
• Collect user feedback from internal teams and external clients to manage with feature prioritization
• Interpret business requirements to propose and articulate technical solutions
• Collaborate with product team to ensure all new features meet acceptance criteria, translating insights into clear user stories for implementations
• Provide architectural oversight
• Participate in research of emerging technologies and tools to accelerate development
• Component selection, integration mechanisms, interface types, standards, etc.

Desired Qualifications and Skills:

• 7+ years of development experience
• Strong familiarity with HTML5, Javascript, JQuery, CSS, Ajax, Bootstrap, Razor
• Solid experience with .NET Framework, MVC, C#, ASP.NET, Entity Framework
• Experience with SQL Server, TSQL, LINQ and database modeling
• Knowledge about webservices (SOAP; REST; ODATA)
• Experience using Git;
• Full stack developer
• Extensive experience designing and developing scalable, resilient, distributed applications
• Strong understanding of software architectural patterns
• Technical lead and architecture experience required
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills (Portuguese and English) - this role is often client facing
• Strong expertise in object oriented, structured, and functional design
• Solid understanding of Agile (Scrum/Kanban) practices
• Experience with cloud environments and DevOps practices
• A strong team member mentality, willingness to teach and help others.
• Possess both technology and business perspectives including strong analytical skills
• Strong decision-making skills
• Creative and innovative problem-solving skills
