Responsibilities

We are currently looking for an experienced Performance Test Analyst to join our performance test team.

The candidate will have a strong background in the performance testing space, with extensive skills in enhancing the performance test approach along with continually researching and recommending performance test tools.

The ideal candidate will be able to provide robust performance testing and reporting along with supplying recommendations for enhancements based on finding. This role requires a highly motivated self-starter who can work on their own initiative and deliver high-quality testing to deadlines.

Job Responsibilities:

• Your key task will be delivery and maintenance of performance testing.
• Asses performance risk, design and execute performance testing and report on findings with recommendations.
• Identify, implement and work with application, database, and infrastructure monitoring tools in analysing performance.
• Identify and implement alternative methods of generating and injecting loads into the application.
• You will be doing Performance testing .NET Client-Server and Web/Cloud based applications for both application performance and interface responsiveness under differing conditions.
• Identify and support team members who may require mentoring, providing guidance, advice, and feedback.
• Adept at creating clear and concise guides and documents to convey ideas and techniques.
• You will be adaptable in various testing methodologies, & practices, and tools that complement the software quality process.
• You will be used to working in an agile environment and adaptable to changing circumstances in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

Technical Requirements:

• Performance Testing experience of 4+ years.
• Strong understanding of performance testing techniques, toolsets, and implementation of these.
• Strong experience of Agile QA practices, and working with teams using Scrum/Kanban.
• Background working with 2 or more Performance Test Tools for consolidation of performance monitoring.
• Software testing certification e.g., Performance Testing ISTQB or equivalent.
• Experience performance testing Windows based client–server desktop applications, Web/Cloud based applications and/or Application Programming Interfaces (APIs).
• Experience with component level testing across Microservices packaged within containers.
• Both hands on automation experience and possess strong conceptual knowledge of automation frameworks.
• Experience testing client-server applications that support multiple connectivity modes.
• Experience testing applications that communicate in a complex manner via TCP.
• Implementing and using various tools suitable for automating .NET applications in virtualised test environments.
• Proficient in requirement gathering (Non-functional) and analysis.
• Ability to analyse system architecture and Non-functional requirements to develop and appropriate Test Plan.
• Experience in designing performance test scenarios and scripts for execution.
• Strong SQL Server interrogation and queries.
• Working knowledge of Azure and/or AWS cloud services.
• Passion and drive for performance testing and associated toolsets.

Good to have:

• BS/BA degree in computer science, engineering, or related discipline.
• Working knowledge of VB.Net and C# (and/or Java) programming languages.
• Experience with Ansible software platform and application for management of virtual machine-based environments.
• Experience with participation in agile planning, sprinting and reviews.
• Background working with virtual machines and associated configuration.
