Background:
Inventivio is a German company that develops and commercializes break-through technologies for visually impaired and blind people. The technologies enable blind people to access any information without the help of others and thereby lead a more independent life. In order to realize the full potential of these technologies, the company is investing strongly in software. In this context Inventivio is looking for an experienced Java developer who will join our European Software Development Center which is currently being set up in Lisbon.
The job:
The development will initially focus on a web application targeted both at sighted and blind people and then move on to transform the way in which blind people interact with images, audio, email, web browsers and many more application scenarios. The role is challenging as the application domains vary significantly and open-source libraries will be used extensively. Excellent conceptional and debugging skills are required.
Your profile:
You are an experienced Java developer with a solid background in developing web applications and web services, ideally with some experience in one of the Java-based micro-services frameworks. Your conceptual skills are strongly developed and you have a strong drive for results. You are inspired by addressing new challenges and are creative in finding solutions. You want your work to be meaningful and are committed to a high-quality standard.
