Summary:

We are looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer to help us scale our infrastructure. 

You'll be playing a core role in our team and you’ll report directly to the company’s VP of Engineering. Our core stack is Ruby On Rails, Rust, PostgreSQL, Redis, CloudFormation.

What You’ll Do:

As it stands, our current web application is deployed on Heroku. We’re looking to move everything into AWS for a number of reasons. We need your help to get there.

Here are some objectives we’d like you to help us achieve:

• Migrate our large scale web application from Heroku to AWS.

• Migrate from CircleCI to AWS CodePipeline.

• Automate the deployment pipeline.

What You Should Know:

Required Skills:

• Strong experience with AWS, Docker, CloudFormation, and Fargate.

• Experience working with Git and CI tools (e.g. Jenkins, TravisCI, CircleCI),

• Experience with configuration management tools (e.g. Chef, Puppet, Ansible, CloudFormation, Terraform)

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with Kubernetes

• Experience with Ruby on Rails

• Experience with Nginx and Phusion Passenger

We have a small (but growing) tight-knit engineering team. We work in sprints and have async daily stand ups over email. 

We pride ourselves on doing upfront design, so every project has wireframes, mockups, and a well thought through specification before we start writing any code. 

We like to work smarter, not harder. Team members are not expected to work more than 40 hours per week.
