At Capitalise we're looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team!

We are Capitalise.com, an adviser-led financial marketplace for businesses and their advisers to compare and apply for financial products. We are a product-oriented FinTech start-up based in the UK and have closed our Series A in 2019. We have won government grants and award nominations for innovation.

Capitalise.com is building out our technology and product teams working with superstar engineers and product managers.

We’re looking to grow our engineering team in Portugal to continue our scale with 3,000 advisers using our platform.

As Senior DevOps Engineer you will be responsible for development and optimisation on projects across our infrastructure’s platform including API, microservices and overall stability on which the team builds their web products as well as developer operations such as building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and automating deployment processes whenever appropriate.

You will be joining a team of engineers and technologists who are working to build a high quality modern SaaS product - so you’ll drive use of the latest Devops technology giving you freedom to bring your own improvements to life to push our testing to the next level.

Your role will be to

• Review existing infrastructure and optimise where appropriate
• Automate and improve development and release processes
• Include tools to monitor our production and development services
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines
• Investigate infrastructure issues and system errors
• Collaborate with engineers to resolve application errors
• Deploy new services in collaboration with our engineers
• Validate and implement best security practices
• Mentoring team members and promoting best practices 

You should apply if you have

• Extensive knowledge in any of the cloud hosting solutions: AWS, GCP or Microsoft Azure
• Experienced in configuring instances and package management
• Knowledge of networking and key infrastructure considerations
• Knowledge of storage solutions and secure file transfer
• Experience with containerisation, Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience with continuous integration e.g. Azure Devops, CircleCI, Jenkins
• Expert in GIT version control, branches and release processes
• Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools e.g. LogDNA, NewRelic, Grafana
• Knowledge of container registries and release management processes
• Knowledge of MySQL, RabbitMQ, Redis and MongoDB
• Great communication in English
• Extensive knowledge in Linux and bash command language

This role is currently only open to candidates who live and work in Portugal, and do not require a Visa.
