What skills do you need to have:

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience as a Database Administrator (DBA) with a focus on MySQL and PostgreSQL.
• Strong proficiency in database administration tasks, including installation, configuration, and performance tuning.
• Expertise in database security, access controls, and compliance.
• Experience with database backup and recovery procedures.
• Proficiency in SQL query optimization and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of database migration and replication techniques.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• Familiarity with cloud-based database services (AWS RDS, Azure Database) is a plus.
• Relevant certifications in MySQL and PostgreSQL administration are advantageous.

Some of your responsibilities will be:

• Administer, maintain, and optimize MySQL and PostgreSQL database systems.
• Perform database installation, configuration, and upgrades as needed.
• Monitor database performance, identify bottlenecks, and optimize queries.
• Implement and manage database backup and recovery strategies.
• Ensure data security and compliance with relevant regulations.
• Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams on database design and optimization.
• Create and maintain documentation for database configurations, processes, and procedures.
• Perform routine database maintenance tasks such as indexing and query optimization.
• Stay updated with database trends, best practices, and emerging technologies.
• Participate in on-call rotation to address critical database incidents
