Description: 

The project in question revolves around the appointment of a Business-As-Usual (BAU) Database Subject Matter Expert (SME) who will play a pivotal role in supporting both the Projects and BAU teams within the organization. The position is structured such that 70% of the workload will be dedicated to projects, while the remaining 30% will be devoted to BAU activities. 

Within the BAU component of the role, the primary focus will be on working with various technologies, with a significant emphasis on Oracle. This involves overseeing and maintaining the day-to-day operations and systems related to Oracle, ensuring their smooth operation.

Regarding the project aspect of the role, it falls into two main categories. Firstly, there are projects related to on-premises databases, which entail major upgrades and enhancements to the existing technology infrastructure. Secondly, there are projects centered around cloud databases, involving the integration of new functionalities and upgrades to existing cloud-based systems. Both of these project categories are considered high-priority initiatives within the organization, emphasizing their significance.

Requirements:

• Oracle (75-80%) – ideally version 11g to 19c
• MSSQL / SQL Server (20-25%) 

Nice-to-have: 

• Snowflake
• MongoDB
• Sybase – 5%
• Banking/ Financial Services experience
• Good working knowledge of MSSQL 2008 / 2012 / 2014 / 2016 / 2017 / 2019 (including Always-On and Analysis Services).
• Good working knowledge of Oracle 11g / 12c / 18c / 19c (including RAC, ASM, DataGuard and ODA appliances).
• Good working knowledge of SAP (Sybase) ASE 12.5 / 15.7 / 16.0.
• Good working knowledge of MongoDB 3.4 / 3.6 / 4.0 / 4.2.
