NBCC CONSULTING is recruiting for a prestigious client in the Tech sector, the position of Senior Data Scientist.
 

CHALLENGE

-Design and implement new algorithms and machine learning models for search and recommender services that build the backbone of XING's social network

-Contribute to the development of services, batch processes and stream processing components (using programming languages such as Scala, Python or SQL and technologies like Spark, Kafka, etc.) to ship algorithms to our end users

-Proactively analyze data assets (contact network, tracking data, profiles, etc.) and experiment to enhance existing services and create new services and products

-Design and implement components in a sustainable fashion (automating training of ML models; balance between complexity of models, computational costs, ease of use)

-Work in an interdisciplinary context and support Product and Interaction Designers to shape our data-driven networking products.

SKILLS

-MSc or higher degree in Computer Science, Math, etc. or alternative education related to statistics, data mining, machine learning and software engineering

-At least three years’ experience working in the field of Data Science or Data Engineering

-Hands-on experience in analyzing large datasets (e.g. with Python, Hive, Spark or similar) and developing machine learning models

-Deep theoretical and practical knowledge about machine learning and problem domains related to network analysis, search or recommender systems

-Solid programming skills (preferably in Scala/Java or Python) and experience in developing sustainable data services and components that have potential to live on for years

-Proficient English language skills (Portuguese is not required).
