Our company creates APIs that enable seamless interaction between corporate systems. We develop great innovative products and provide expert consulting services for prestigious customers.

You’ll be working across the entire architecture and be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining restful APIs, microservices and databases. You will be implementing full-stack stacks, collaborating with the analysts, testers, and fellow developers in each sprint.

At Border we use the best tools, either open source or proprietary, and agile methodologies. We encourage knowledge sharing and people helping each other.

We have been around for a while, but deep within we are still a start-up. We have an informal and relaxed working environment, where people do their work and have fun too.

Our beautiful and sunny office is located near the riverside at Parque das Nações (Lisbon).

Main requirements:

• Degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications or equivalent
• 7+ years of experience in software development
• 4+ years of experience with Node.js and frameworks like ExpressJS or Loopback
• Experience with REST and SOAP APIs
• Experience with relational databases like Oracle or PostgreSQL
• Experience with document-oriented databases like MongoDB
• Experience with client-side frameworks like Angular or React
• Passionate about technologies like micro-services, containers, cloud computing
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Proactive and autonomous
• Quick learner
• Fluent in English
• Willingness to travel for short periods

Nice to have:

• Exposure to gRPC
• Exposure to Kubernetes or Openshift
• ESB/SOA experience
