STEFANINI is hiring a Secure Software Developer to join one of its clients in Lisbon, operating within the banking sector

We are searching for a profile who is able to build and integrate security software systems into application software created by other developers. Security software includes firewalls, spyware and malware detection and antivirus software. The developer creates source code for applications to ensure that they are secure and that any intrusions can be detected accurately.

Security software developers need to understand code and have experience with the operating systems the business they work for uses. In this role, you will be responsible for development, implementation and testing to ensure that the code implemented works as it should and can be operated by the relevant members of the business.

  • Development: You will be expected to design and develop security systems in line with the needs of the business, addressing identified vulnerabilities and pre-empting intrusion strategies.
     
  • Implementation: Once developed, you will need to ensure the software is properly implemented, identifying issues in the code and resolving them and debugging source code if necessary.
     
  • Testing: After implementing the newly-developed software, you will need to test it to confirm that everything works as it should, the vulnerabilities have been fortified and the new system is comfortably workable for other members of the business.
     
  • Monitoring: As part of the continuing project, it will be your responsibility to monitor the system so that it runs smoothly. You may also be required to produce reports for senior IT staff on the project or to train staff in using the new system.
