We are searching for a Search Expert for a remote position:

Requirements:

the candidate should have an understanding and/or experience in the following sorts of activities of SharePoint search development and configuration:

• Content processing, normalisation, and enrichment through automatic classification and categorisation
• Search relevancy tuning using tools such as weighting/rank and explain plan.
• Work with query rules to improve the relevance of results, displaying results blocks etc
• Custom search and visualisation dashboards. Adapting  result items to show supplementary information, or icons.
• Design of user interfaces for search and use cases for search + taxonomy interactions

• Creation of managed properties from crawled properties. Processing of managed properties the Content Enrichment Web Service, and an understanding of its impact on performance.
• Usage of managed properties in refiners and sorting.
• Good understanding of information architecture in SharePoint and Office 365

• Although not included in this project the profile would have been in work such as custom and pre-built SharePoint connectors for growing, disperse data sources. They should also understand how to include that into the existing search content, and balance it's relevancy amongst other sources using weighting/rank and influencing it.
