Summary:
The Tech Lead will be responsible for leading the implementation of the web applications the company is rolling out in the next year. This person will be reporting directly to the company’s headquarters in San Francisco.

The company operates in the education market and it provides educators with the power to turn big data into big benefits for students. It does so by aggregating relevant data together, analysing it and displaying all the relevant results to decision-makes in schools, universities, etc.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Work closely with Product and Engineering Management to help define the architectural roadmap
- Build and maintain Single Page Applications using frameworks like ReactJS.
- Lead the team and implementation planning to meet development goals.
- Easily move across stack from front end to back end and vice-versa.
- Proactively mentors other Engineers.
- Communicate clearly with PM’s and other stakeholders

Experience:
- Minimum 4+ years in developing in Ruby on Rails.
- Minimum 3+ years experience with ReactJS or a similar frontend framework (AngularJS, Vue, Ember, etc).
- Experience with PostgreSQL, Redis, and MongoDB or similar technologies.
- Experience with test-driven development and using frameworks like RSpec, Cucumber, Capybara, Jasmine, or similar frameworks.

Bonus:
- Experience with Elixir/Phoenix
- Experience with AWS and Azure
