Description

We are looking for a highly motivated and capable Ruby on Rails developer. You don't need a decade of experience but you must have a natural talent and passion for coding and enthusiasm to grow as a developer.

You will have autonomy and responsibility over the code that you write and help guide the software architecture and platforms to sustain today and tomorrow's growing business needs.

Requirements

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering;
• 3+ years of experience with Ruby on Rails;
• Basic knowledge of Postgres, Redis, or ElasticSearch;
• Experience in implementing Agile, Lean, and Continuous Delivery best practices across multidisciplinary teams is a plus;
• Possess strong analytical, communication and problem-solving skills;
• Previous experience working in bioinformatics, e-health or similar will be considered a plus;
• Good communication skills (Portuguese and English, both written and verbal) are mandatory;
• Experience scaling e-commerce and/or marketplace systems is also a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage the product roadmap, capturing needs from a wide range of inputs, understanding and prioritizing these needs so our team is always working on the most impactful features;
• Work independently and coordinate the development team;
• Work closely with the CEO to ensure product innovation and constantly evaluate its market placement and fit;
• Lead a group of committed developers to do the best work of their careers;
• Implement new products, from planning details to programming up to coordination of product testing;
• Communicate product decisions and the rationale behind them.
