ynvisible (www.ynvisible.com) has developed and brought to market proprietary printed electrochromic (EC) displays that are low power, low weight, thin, flexible, transparent and robust. ynvisible displays can be easily integrated in high volume, e.g. into smart labels and products.

The company was founded in 2010 with the vision to bring everyday objects and surfaces to life, benefitting people in a smart and connected world. ynvisible’s mission is to provide a practical human interface to the Internet of Things as it becomes the Internet of Everything.

ynvisible is currently in growth mode and recruiting a Researcher to help develop the next generation of smart labels and products.

Position overview

You will be part of a young, international and diverse team – with competences in chemistry, materials science, printing, electronics, business development and sales & marketing. This is a great opportunity to explore different areas of Chemistry, Materials Science and Printed Electronics. Your work will be developed in the context of the H2020 funded projects INNPAPER and DECOCHROM, and will include:

- Formulation and characterization of functional inks for deposition in various substrates and by several methods

- Formulation and preparation of several functional materials at the lab and pilot scale

- Manual assembly of electrochromic devices

- Characterization of electrochromic devices

- Prototyping and functional characterization of prototypes

- Production of electrochromic devices at the pilot scale, including pre-production tasks

The ideal candidate

• Fluent in English, both spoken and written
• Available to travel and spend time abroad
• Masters degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science or a related subject
• Extensive laboratory experience
• Expertise in electrochemistry and electrochromics is a plus
• Proficient in all Microsoft Office tools
• Good team work skills
• Good project/tasks and time management skills
• Autonomous and proactive
• Preference for candidates with international experience
