Web Development area description

Web Development area is responsible for the conception, design, development and deployment of Rich Web Applications solutions. From the very beginning of requirement definition passing by architecture, data model definition and choose the best web technology for the final solution. The main technological stack is based on Java and JavaScript for backend layers (such as Spring and Node.js) along with JavaScript based frameworks such as Angular and React for frontend development.

YOUR ROLE

At Xpand IT, as a React Developer you will be responsible for the definition and implementation of web application’s user interface that users see and interact. You will work along with UX/UI experts and software engineers responsible for the back end component of the web application.

Job description / activities

• Use / suggest a variety of state-of-the-art programming languages in order to create dinamic and user-friendly web interfaces
• Design and build high-quality mockups and design different prototypes
• Develop applications to obtain maximum performance of frontend layer and garantee cross browser and cross device compatibility
• Build reusable code and libraries for future use
• Work in multidisciplinary team with other teammates such as backend developers and web designers

SKILLS YOU NEED TO HAVE

• MSc / BSc in Information Systems and Computer Engineering and/or Computer Science
• Strong experience in web interface development (+3 years) with Javascript, HTML5, CSS3
• Professional experience (+2 years) with JavaScript libraries and frameworks such as React 
• Good understanding of asynchronous request handling and partial page updates
• Knowledge of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around such issues
• Experience of design patterns while implementing large scale and complex software solutions.
• Excellent organization skills and “clean code” evangelist
• Strong experience in using development support tools like  Maven, Jenkins, GIT, JIRA or equivalent 
• Responsability and Organization
• Team player and technical problem solving skills
• Strong communication skills (written and spoken) 
• English proficiency.

• Knowledge and experience in developing with Typescript
• Advanced knowledge on Linux operating systems
