About Quantum team at R&D

We are a newly started team located in Lisbon, working in the area of quantum information and cryptography. Considering the recent trend towards privacy solutions offered by the quantum technology, this team is an initiative towards making a mark in this area in Portugal. We aim at applying for more research projects by gathering expertise and experience, as the team grows, with each project.

Job description

This position is for a R&D engineer to focus on embedded systems of the ongoing quantum project. This involves working on the quantum lab regarding implementation aspects, namely programming an FPGA, signal processing, and programming in C/C++. Contribution to other projects within the quantum team is also expected. We count on your expertise to be responsible for the specific tasks assigned. You will ensure profitability through staffing, upselling, and renewals. You will also be required to:

• Have strong background in embedded systems;
• Good understanding of analog and digital signal processing;
• Experienced in electronic hardware handling is a plus.

• Masters/PhD in Physics/Electronics/Engineering or similar areas;
• Some experience in working prototypes;
• Ability to convey ideas to people (in particular with non-technical backgrounds);
• Experienced programming skills (VHDL, C, C++, Python);
• Fluent in English.
