b_create is a technology start-up that develops a software platform to manage product design & development in the Wine & Beverage Industry.
b_create is a collaborative, easy-to-use platform designed to help companies integrate and manage their product development processes, from idea to market.

We already have a customer base that includes some of the biggest wine & beverage companies in Portugal. In order to follow our strategy of growing to a Saas model and expand our business to other international markets, we are expanding our engineering team.

This QA Engineer role within our product development team offers the opportunity to ensure the technical integrity and quality of ou product through rigorous testing. You will work as part of our Product Development team and operate within an agile software development framework alongside our architects, software developers and other team members.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work with the team in designing and implementing the quality and monitoring process and tools, to ensure our systems are continuously tracked and measured for quality;
• Prevention of early-stage implementation issues by having a close collaboration with developers
• Responsibility for design, maintenance, execution and evaluation of tests
• Review of software requirements and technical specification documentation;
• Specification of test scenarios and use cases (both functional and non-functional);
• Execute of tests (both manual and automated);
• Assist the team in managing their risk by identifying blind spots and appropriate mitigations.
• Plan, design and implement automated functional and non-functional tests;
• Design and build tools and components that enable better, reliable and efficient testing;
• Research and contribute to defining testing standards and best practices for our Engineering team.

Desired Qualifications and Skills:

• A degree (BA+) in computer science or a completed relating apprenticeship with according professional experience
• Suitable for internship
• Knowledge of software engineering principles, algorithms, data structures and Object-Oriented Design
• Knowledge in C#, HTML, JavaScript and Microsoft SQL Server
• Experience in security and/or performance testing (are beneficial)
• Qualifications in the area of software testing (are beneficial)
• Passionate about quality and concerned about customer/end-user perspective
• Fluency in English and good communication skills (mandatory)
