QA Manager @ WIT - Software

Description

We are seeking an experienced candidate to lead our complete QA team and to improve significantly the quality assurance of our software that is being deployed in several Telecom Operators across the globe. The QA Manager is responsible for ensuring that quality will key in several areas of the company: software design, software specifications, software development, functional and non-functional testing, security, performance, scalability, robustness, high-availability, software deployment and project support. This will involve the definition and implementation of QA strategies for each area, promoting continuous quality achievement and improvement, monitoring compliance, identifying deficiencies and evaluating and minimizing their potential impact in the company.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the project planning phase to estimate expected efforts and budgets related to QA/QC activities.
  • Responsible for all aspects of the quality assurance and deliverables at every stage of the project.
  • Develop a comprehensive global test strategy for multiple projects.
  • Manage diverse project teams.
  • Mentoring of employees with regards to quality assurance and quality control.
  • Ensures planning, implementation and follow-up of quality assurance activities.
  • Lead the verification and validation activities for the projects.
  • Follow the test preparation and execution progression and find solutions to issues affecting verification activities within the project.
  • Coordinate and execute capacity, performance, scalabilityand robustness testing activities with the QA teams.
  • Represent the QA group in the steering committees.
  • Promote the implementation of QA technological solutions and best practices in the continuous improvement.
  • Define the quality assurance objectives and ensures the evolution of policies and practices in QA areas.

 

Requirements:

  • BSc or MSc degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or related
  • 3+ years of experience in QA Management.
  • Experience in different functional and non-functional testing techniques.
  • Knowledge of verification tools, QA methodologies and techniques.
  • Good technical, organizational, planning and interpersonal skills.
  • Proactive and problem solving oriented.
  • Strong verbal and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and an out of the box thinker.
  • Results oriented and with a strong customer focus
  • Must be fluent in English.
  • ISEB/ISTQB Software Tester Foundation Certified (preferred).
  • Cannot be a “9 to 5 worker”.
