Description

Winprovit is recruiting an Production Support (m/f) for a project on banking sector client that is being developed in Lisbon.

 

Qualifications:

• First class Graduate in any discipline (Computer Science preferred) from a reputed university with a good background of software development/support

• IT working experience

• Good understanding of the ITIL norm and practices (desirable) 

 

Domain / Technical:

  • Knowledge and/or experience of the financial services industry (desirable)
  • Prior experience in application support
  • Experience and ability to perform technical analysis, identify impacts (functional/technical)
  • Experience of working with applications with many interfaces to other applications
  • Technical competency in the following:
  • AT least 1 year working experience with Linux and its standard commands (mandatory)
  • Intermediate knowledge of at least one reporting technology: Business Objects, Spotfire, JasperReports (desirable)
  • Basic knowledge of IBM DataStage TX (desirable)
  • Basic knowledge of Shell Scripts (desirable) 
  • Basic knowledge of RDBMS concepts in at least 1 database technology (Oracle, Sybase, SQL Server) (desirable)

 

Key Responsibilities 

  •  Understand the application landscape, develop expertise of the application/s and understand various interfaces involved
  • Answer user requests and manage incidents, including target days and service level agreements
  • Define new practices/processes when needed
  • Write new procedures and ensure their collective ownership
  • Contribute to checking & validation of production changes and application restart
  • Ensure daily communication & transition with Paris team

 

Incident Management:

  • Manage incidents according to Service Delivery GITSDE / ITIL Standards, and in coordination with other teams, including production teams.
  • Re-instate services as soon as possible whenever an incident occurs
  • Communicate with operations during incident situation and updating it regularly and correctly

 

Service Level Management:

  • Monitor environments and KPIs
  • Suggest changes, improvements so as to continuously improve global level of service
  • Validate changes onto production 

 

Problem Management:

  • Identify recurring incidents and define action-plans to definitively fix them
  • Work closely with development team on action-plans
