We are looking for a talented Power BI Junior Consultant to join our international team and work in several of our international projects. 

You will be based in our riverside office in Lisbon. 

Role Overview:

We are seeking a Power BI Junior Consultant, who has the combined (technical and functional) skill set to thrive and succeed in this international role.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain positive relationships with client staff at all levels

• Work with customers to understand and capture business processes, decision requirements and BI needs

• Create detailed specifications documents based on client, industry

• Define innovative analytical approaches and metrics strategy to uncover new insights and formulate recommendations that improve productivity and better understand the impacts of business initiatives

• Develop/document technical architecture, system design, performance test results and other technical aspects of solution implementation

• Understand required data, where it resides and their underlying structure to transform through SQL queries

• Build multi-dimensional data models and schemes per customer requirements

• Leverage tools in BI product stack to create compelling data visualizations and dashboards

• Communicate the results efficiently to both technical and non-technical audiences

• Transfer knowledge successfully to clients through formal presentations and informal training, in both business and/or technical questions

• Develop accurate project plans and manage client expectations regarding the delivery of products/services

• Manage tasks to execute project deliverables on time and according to plan, and accurately report progress, obstacles and successes throughout development milestones

Essential Skills:

• Bachelor/Master in a field that emphasizes data analysis and visualization (Computer Science, Information Management, Mathematics, Engineering or Statistics), or equivalent work experience

• 1 - 2 years of Business Intelligence/Report Development experience

• Familiarity with Power BI / Power Query / DAX

• Working knowledge of MS SQL- stored procedures, views, functions, tables, indexes, ETL/SSIS

• Exceptional ability to understand complex business requirements, and convert them into meaningful and engaging reports

• Strong communication and organizational skills

• Strong desire for continuous growth and development
   

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with performance tuning and optimization in SQL environments

• Other RDB Experience - Oracle, MySQL, Aurora

• Python proficiency is a plus

• Familiarity with Agile methodology
