Due to the rapid growth and expansion of company operations, currently we are looking for more people to join our team in our Lisbon office.
Responsibilities:
- You will be responsible for the creation of dashboards, by developing, interpreting, and visualising data required by the business.
- Working with colleagues in the Data and Analytics team, and wider Technology team, to develop and grow the service and products for the company.
- Gathering end user reporting and dashboard requirements
- Interpreting data to understand the headline conclusions to support actionable recommendations.
- Communicating insights to senior management and across the organisation.
- Liaising with internal stakeholders to identify areas of the business that could benefit from analysis.
- Reviewing data collection processes, assessing the validity of the information stored, and cleaning new datasets.
- Identifying and suggesting improvements in delivery of BI to the company.
- Working closely with the IT department to ensure that the data collection and storage are appropriate and suitable for BI purposes.
- Working with all internal departments to identify suitable metrics specific to their departmental operations and wider BI requests.
- Identifying new sources of data to be used to grow BI capability.
- Identifying new uses of existing data to provide insight to the company.
Who you are:
- Degree in STEM subject (preferably Comp Sci or Equivalent).
- Working knowledge of data warehousing & ELT processes / tools.
- Hands on practical experience of data visualisation software – Power BI mandatory
- Alternatively, demonstrated strong experience in interpreting and communicating data in a general report setting and an aptitude for quick learning.
- Analytical with a creative mind and attention to detail.
- You work effectively with others by being co-operative, inclusive, supportive, and understanding towards your colleagues and other stakeholders.
- An expert communicator, you listen carefully and use positive language to clearly present information, ideas and views, verbally, in writing and by using technology.
- Experience in interpreting data to draw out insights.
- Able to discern what conclusions and key trends from the data would be most relevant to the intended audience/stakeholder.
- An understanding of how to most appropriately communicate/visualise data through choice of graphs and charts, with an appreciation of the target audience.
- Good communication with non-technical stakeholders to understand what is required and discuss technical work in an understandable way.
- Adaptability to familiarise yourself with new datasets.
- Critically assess data outputs within its context.
- Focus on detail in tasks to complete, while maintaining an understanding of where the value of this sits in a larger project.
- Enjoys independent problem-solving and overcoming challenges.
- Comfortable with independent work and collaborating within the team.
- Initiative to proactively tackle barriers, explore new solutions, and expand the range of work currently undertaken by the team.
- English speaker – tested during interview.
