What you will be doing:

• Read functional specifications and make proposals for the SQL technical solution;
• If required, help co-write the SQL technical specification and estimate the implementation efforts;
• Develop and maintain software components on Oracle databases, in compliance with development and security norms and standards;
• Help optimize the quality of the code and its maintainability;
• Ensure unit testing and contribute to the other testing activities and implement the necessary corrections for any identified defects;
• Work in close collaboration with all members of the project team and contribute to suggestions for improving the project outcomes;

What we are looking for:

• Development experience in PL/SQL programming
• Experience in design and modelling of Oracle databases
• Experience in database tuning (SQL; PL/SQL)
• Experience developing Unit Tests
• Good knowledge of spoken and written English
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Computer Science or similar
• Eligible to work in Portugal

What is a significant plus:

• Development experience of Oracle APEX applications
• Practical experience with Oracle database options and features (partitioning, full text search, XMLDB, RAC, EBR)
• Administration of the Oracle databases
• Development experience in ODP.net
• Development experience in .NET C#
• Experience in MS Visual Studio / Team Foundation Server
• Knowledge of standard web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
• Knowledge of spoken and written German
