Migration Specialist @ Altran

Mission

Altran is searching for a Migration Specialist (W/M) for Lisbon.

Activities:

  • Define and document the overall project migration strategy;
  • Perform entity and field level mapping from Legacy systems to Amdocs system;
  • Configure and unit test the Amdocs migration tools;
  • Develop miscellaneous migration scripts/tools as required;
  • Plan CatchUp phases/concept to minimize Business Impact during migration downtimes;
  • Execute Quality Assurance and Risk Management Strategy;

Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree (4 year program) in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent;
  • Knowledge of telco networks, platforms, standards and business processes;
  • Extensive experience in development, including work in Agile development environments;
  • Experience with Linux, UNIX, Oracle;
  • Knowledge in PostgreSQL and Couchbase will be considered as significant plus;
  • Understanding of complex RDBMS systems;
  • Knowledge required with scripting, SQLPlus, PL/SQL;
  • Strong BSS/OSS technical background;
  • Experience in Amdocs C1 / Kenan Telecom Billing System;
  • Working knowledge on Migration or ETL tools is mandatory;
  • Fluent communication in English;
