Join the Wolfpack as a Linux Systems Administrator (On-site - Oeiras, Lisboa).

 

What skills do you need to have?

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 5 years of experience as a Linux Administrator in progressively senior roles.
  • Strong proficiency in Linux operating systems (Red Hat, CentOS, Debian, etc.).
  • Experience with system monitoring tools and performance optimization.
  • In-depth knowledge of networking, security, and server technologies.
  • Proficiency in shell scripting (Bash, Python, etc.) for automation.
  • Familiarity with configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, etc.).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with team members and stakeholders.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.
  • Relevant certifications such as RHCE are advantageous.
  • Good level of English - minimum B2 (mandatory);

 

Some of your responsibilities will be:

 

  • Manage and maintain Linux-based systems, ensuring uptime, security, and performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and manage infrastructure solutions.
  • Implement security measures and best practices to safeguard systems against potential threats.
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and perform root cause analysis.
  • Install, configure, and maintain software applications and services on Linux platforms.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls across Linux systems.
  • Perform system updates, patches, and upgrades to keep systems current and secure.
  • Collaborate with development teams to ensure seamless integration of applications.
  • Automate routine tasks using scripting languages and configuration management tools.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior administrators when necessary.
  • Keep abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies in Linux administration.
