Description

We are looking for a full-time English-speaking junior to mid-level backend PHP developer.

You will become an important part of our growing small international development team, developing our API's and backend engines in our backend team, for an IT security related (TLS/SSL) Software as a Service. The frontend team is separate and is building a React client consuming the API's.

Our leadership style is Scandinavian, with a focus on efficiency while maintaining a good work life balance (max 40 hours/week), continued education and flexibility in work conditions gained by trust.

A few of your responsibilities:

• Implement our web API applications using the newest Laravel framework
• Create backend engines consuming API's and external scripts
• Participate in design and code reviews
• Ensuring security and stability for our customers

Requirements:

• Able to communicate ideas and solutions with your team in English - B1 or higher
• 2+ years of coding experience using PHP, can be from study/personal projects
• Resident within EU
• Relevant technical or higher education degree

Experience with any of the following would be a bonus:

• A framework such as Laravel, Symfony, CodeIgniter
• Object Oriented Programming
• Designing and consuming API’s
• Use of or understanding of SSL/TLS, encryption, ciphers, hashing
• Using the Scrum agile framework, test driven development, Git, Jira
