Description

As a Junior Support Engineer you will work closely together with the development teams building solutions, especially the DevOps team, that provide the connectivity infrastructure. You will:

  • Maintain a sophisticated technology stack used by our customers;
  • Use modern state-of-the-art technologies on a daily basis;
  • Become a specialist in a fast-growing field of Industrial IoT to Cloud convergence;
  • Work in an agile environment;
  • Have opportunities to shape your role and adapt it to current needs;
  • Be part of an international and worldwide distributed team of IoT and Cloud specialists.

 

Your focus will be on the operational aspects and the support of our products, which include:

  • Manage and resolution of incidents identified by our monitoring systems;
  • Communicate with customers about technical questions and issues, e.g. regarding the gateways;
  • Support the teams in deployments and configuration changes on the gateways and cloud systems;
  • Improve the support and incident management processes by continuous feedback to teams;
  • Document incidents, changes, processes and operational procedures;
  • Measure KPIs to assess and quantify improvements and progress.

Profile

  • Basic Linux administration know-how and strong willingness to improve your skills;
  • Experience in standard Linux troubleshooting, system monitoring and alerting;
  • Basic knowledge in TCP/IP networking and common TCP/IP based protocols;
  • Knowledge on cloud services, preferably Azure and/or AWS;
  • A sense of common security practices in public networks and strong engagement to improve;
  • Interest in IoT networks, protocols and processes;
  • Customer orientation perspective, focusing on customer needs and viable solutions;
  • Verbal & written fluency in English;
  • Excellent communication skills;
  • Enthusiasm on learning and broadening your technical knowledge;
  • Degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) or a similar course of studies.
