Middleware Area description 

The Middleware area at Xpand IT is where we help clients to improve business processes from end to end by implementing software solutions that enable several applications / components of a distributed system to communicate and manage data in an efficient and scalable manner. By design, these solutions enable interoperability between applications that may run on different operating environments (operating system or cloud provider) and communicate by exchanging data based on industry standards (JSON, XML, etc).

YOUR ROLE

As a Junior Middleware Developer you'll be responsible for learning about enterprise system integration and the full cycle development and it’s challenges. You will develop quality middleware solutions, based on WSO2 technology, while actively provide insight into solving problems, applying typical integration standarts and best practices. 

Job description / activities

• Develop quality middleware solutions, based on WSO2 technology;
• Apply typical integration standards and best practices such as abstraction, reuse and composition;
• Guarantee that delivered code is part of scalable solutions and that can be reused in the future and is compliant with enterprise integration best standards
• Actively participate in the design and evolution of APIs & tools
• Participate in technical and functional analysis of complex and enterprise wide integration architectures
• Work with team members to provide insight into solving complex problems;
• Work with QA teams to conduct integrated (application and database) stress testing, performance analysis and fine tuning

SKILLS YOU NEED TO HAVE

• Degree or Master in Computer Science/IT or related field or equivalent experience;
• Developed academic projects in the area of architecture and systems integration;
• Academic Experience with Java or other language in Object Oriented Programming;
• Understanding of integration patterns and coding best practices;
• Knowledge in XML, Xpath and JSON;
• Contact with Unix systems and shell scripting;
• Motivation, innovation capacity, good communication skills and easy integration into working teams;
• Team player and problem solving skills
• Strong communication skills (written and spoken)
• English proficiency

• Knowledge or experience with Docker/Kubernetes ecosystem
• Knowledge or experience with microservices based architectures
• Experience with Middleware frameworks such as Mulesoft, TIBCO, Red Hat, Oracle, IBM or WSO2
