Dellent is a Portuguese consulting, technology services and outsourcing company, focused mainly on IT and Telecommunication services.

Senior Developers are responsible for delivering the technical design and development of software components for assigned projects.

Regular activities:

• Design, code, and test technical solutions with an emphasis on unit testing.
• Use appropriate technical design methods to explain your approach.
• Strive to eliminate defects as early as possible by actively participating in code reviews.
• Understand the necessity of coding standards and lead effort to ensure delivery based on the coding standards.
• Proactively work with Business Analysts to understand project requirements. Estimate development effort to deliver.
• Understand and communicate technical and functional design requirements to other team members.
• Understand architectural expectations as communicated by the Solution Architect.
• Identify system deficiencies and proactively recommend solutions.

Required Experience:

• 3+ years of experience in the software industry.
• 2+ years of experience using Java / J2EE.

Experience with as many of the following as possible:

• Strong experience with Agile and Scrum.
• Strong experience with SOAP and REST services.
• WebLogic or other similar application server.
• Java Messaging Service (JMS).
• Integration tools & techniques (ESBs, Orchestration, SOA, XML, JSON, SOAP, REST, etc.).
