Job Position

We are looking for a disciplined Java Developer with experience in building high-performing, well-tested and secure applications. You will be part of a talented engineering team that takes full ownership of the software development lifecycle and continuously iterate on process to deliver high quality software. 

About You

• You are passionate about code and technology, you know what is happening in the ecosystem

• You are able to analyse a problem and discuss potential solutions with your team

• You are a responsible individual who understands how to balance tech purity with the value of progressing business objectives and delivering on time

• You are always looking for ways to improve the existing application to enhance clarity, performance, and resilience

• You are able to give and receive feedback on pull requests so that everyone on the team may improve over time

Responsibilities

• Writing clean and performant code

• Taking full ownership in all phases of the development lifecycle

• Contribute and improve our development and team process

• Monitoring applications performance to improve it

• Refactor and improve clarity of legacy systems

Skills required

• 3+ years of experience with Java or any other JVM languages (Grails and Groovy), and the Spring framework

• Experience with relational databases, such as PostgreSQL or MySQL

• PHP or Python knowledge is a plus

• Javascript knowledge on modern Javascript frameworks is a plus

• Experience or willingness to learn cloud computing (AWS is a plus!)

• Proficiency in English
