What you will be doing:

As a Backend Engineer, you are part of a cross-functional team. Together with your team, you will be responsible for software products from conception to operation. As an enthusiast in software engineering and software craftsmanship, with a strong DevOps mentality and thanks to your excellent collaboration skills, you will support your team in delivering the best answers to our customer's needs and taking full responsibility for the applications, from design to operation.

• With your advanced problem-understanding and solving skills, you will be able to take full responsibility for complex issues or multi-layered initiatives and deliverables that span across your domain
• You strive for high levels of automation, clean architectures, and high quality with a customer-centric mindset.
• You are able to select and lead teams, using the right tools for the right job, solving given business and technical problems in an efficient manner.
• You have a business mindset and focus on solving business problems in the best possible way.
• Will address the full cycle of designing, building, testing, and deploying software and contribute to increasing automation.
• Contribute to communities of practice, including collaborating on joint initiatives.

• Learn and acquire new skills and keep up to date with the latest developments in your focus areas.

What we are looking for:

• Strong expertise in Java and their respective eco-systems
• Good knowledge of Go
• Experience with data persistence (SQL/NoSQL)
• Experience with REST API
• Passion for software development and the ability to communicate and collaborate at all levels of the organization
• Agile methodologies knowledge
• Deep focus on automated tests (unit, functional, integration)
• Familiarity with CI/CD development process
• Familiarity working with AWS cloud solutions (S3, Cloudfront, Lambda)
• Previous experience with Observability tools (Datadog, NewRelic, etc)
• Compelling coaching and training skills for teaching professional software engineering skills.

What will be a plus:

• Experience with Web Components
• Good knowledge of Microservice Architecture
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering
