We are creating a new specialism in eCommerce delivery, to support a growing client base of global brands in fashion and retail, and are looking for the best engineers to come on board and be a part of this exciting new venture. We’re looking for talented Backend Engineers (Java focus) who have previous experience in eCommerce or who have an interest in specializing in this field and benefiting from training and support to get you going. Above all, you’ll love the fast-moving dynamic world of eCommerce, building software that is used by millions of customers, and working on complex problems such as Omni-channel user experience, microservices re-architecture, cloud migration, scaling & performance tuning, and so on.

Our focus is to develop with high standards while having operational aspects in mind (metrics collection, tracing, etc.) with a holistic view on the backend platform in the back of your mind.

National and international expected traveling time varies according to project/client and organizational needs: 0%-15% estimated.

You Rock At

• Being self-driven, self-organized, and working with little supervision towards a common team and company purpose;
• At least one of the following programming languages Java, Scala, or Kotlin;
• Building highly concurrent, transactional, and resilient services.

You're Good At

• Service-oriented architectures, design patterns, and data structures;
• Test automation, continuous integration, and continuous delivery;
• Operational aspects, building performant applications and monitoring them showing you care about your code;
• Working with non-relational and relational databases (one of Oracle, Postgresql, Mysql or SQL Server);
• Working with frameworks such as Spring Boot, Spring, Vert.x or Micronaut;
• Agile methodologies such as Scrum, Kanban, and DevOps;

Nice to have

• Experience migrating from legacy monolithic services to microservice-based architectures;
• Kafka or other events/messaging systems;
• Gradle;
• Docker;
• AWS EKS / ECS;
• Kubernetes;
• HCL (IBM) Websphere Commerce
• Other commerce packages such as Oracle Retail, SAP Hybris
• Basic understanding of Front End development;
