To reinforce our team we are looking to fill the following position at our Lumiar site:
IT System Administrator (M/F)
The IT System Administrator will provide system-level support to multi-user operating systems, hardware, communications and software tools, including installation, configuration, maintenance, and support of these systems. Identify alternatives for optimizing computer resources.
Main responsibilities:
- Assist the Senior System Administrator in his system administration duties;
- Participate in the maintenance of the IT infrastructure performance by monitoring, analyzing, tuning and troubleshooting hardware, software, networks and operating systems;
- Propose and execute the selection, installation, configuration and testing of IT infrastructure components;
- Anticipate, mitigate, identify, troubleshoot, escalate when appropriate, and resolve IT infrastructure problems;
- Propose and executes systems upgrades in order to keep IT infrastructure updated with current technology status;
- Work as a team member with the other IT technical staff and manage IT Infrastructure projects assigned to him/her;
- Cooperate with the IT Helpdesk team and perform the necessary tasks to fulfill service level agreements with end users and systems’ availability;
- Keep the IT infrastructure inventory updated;
- Execute, monitor and propose improvements to the backup management system;
- Propose improvements to disaster recovery policies, procedures and participate in actual disaster recovery situations and test scenarios;
- Propose and implement policies, procedures, and technologies to ensure systems’ security through secure system access,
monitoring, control, and routine security evaluations; - Propose system and operational policies and procedures;
Profile:
- Should have 4 or more years of experience as an IT Technician and/or Helpdesk team member and with technical qualifications in
multiple IT infrastructure disciplines; - Good knowledge of current technology regarding IT infrastructure components;
- Ability to work in cooperation with internal partners, building and developing effective relationships;
- Interpersonal and communication skills;
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills;
- Good Level of English (Written and Spoken).
