Job brief:

We are looking for a IT Security Specialistto join our IT department and will focus on understanding risks to the security of information or data. He/She will be responsible for analyzing where security breaches may occur or have occurred, and repair or strengthen systems against such breaches.

Responsabilities:

  • Review, evaluate, and make recommendations on security programs, including automation, telecommunications, and other technologyused.
  • Provide technical advisoryservices to securely design, implement, maintain or modify information technology systems and networks that are critical to the operation and success of all units.
  • Perform research to identify potential vulnerabilitiesin, and threatsto, existingand proposed technologies,and notifythe appropriate managers/personnel of the risk potential.
  • Assistin the development and maintenanceof security policies, procedures and guidance, and remediation of identified risks, and the implementation of security measures.
  • Develop, analyze and evaluatenew and innovative information technology concepts, approaches, methodologiestechniques, services, guidance, and policies that will constructively transformthe information security posture
  • Make recommendationsregarding best practicesand implement changesin policy.
  • Provide security analysis of IT activitiesto ensure that appropriate security measures are in place and are enforced. Conduct security risk and vulnerability assessmentsof planned and installed information systems to identify weaknesses, risks and protection requirements.
  • Establish mechanismsto promote awareness and adoption of security best practices, which includes creating an IT Awareness Training Programfor new and current employees.
  • Establish and maintain IT security policies and procedures.

Requeriments

  • Good communicationskills
  • BSc in Computer Science, Engineering or relevant field
  • +2 years of experience
  • Knowledge of Security, Networks, Protocols and Services;
  • Knowledge of programming languages;
  • Knowledge of Operating Systems (Windows and Linux);
  • Knowledge of OSSTM(Open Source Security Testing Methodoloy) and OWASP(open Web Application Security Project);
  • Certificationsin the area: CISSP, SANS GCIH / GCIA, OSCP;
